Happy Chaos »

I feel bad that I have hardly had any family blog posts for quite some time. It’s not unusual for my blogging to take a major dip during the school year, but I’m starting to realize that one of my biggest hang-ups is feeling like I can’t post a photo unless if it is perfect.

  • Life with Kaishon - I love these pictures Drew! I don't know if you ever noticed or not ; ) but like EVERY SINGLE PICTURE I put on my blog is edited terribly…but just like you said, WHO CARES : ) This blog is for me when I am old and gray and can't remember a thing. I will look back and smile. I am pretty sure when I am 80 I will not care how I edited, just that I captured love.ReplyCancel

  • Plattner Ranch - Thanks Andrea! I LOVE getting updated on what's happening with my nephews and niece, as well as you and Mark! You do a great job with photography, don't let perfection hold you back. When you have time ~ edit, if not, that's o.k.

The barn picture is fabulous! I saw it on Janine's wall. It looks like a puzzle!ReplyCancel

  • Brooke - HA! I don't think I will ever get over that one either. I edit all mine! But, i have to agree with you – they don't ALL have to be perfect to post. The imperfect ones tell a story too ;D Love your blog!ReplyCancel

  • Jonathan Roth - Kite's aren't quite as innocent to me after watching The Kite Runner. They're still fun though.ReplyCancel

  • Mike - Hehe someone needs to tell the Easter Bunny to hide the eggs in open shade so we have more even lighting when taking photos :-).

I couldn't agree more, documenting special moments doesn't require perfect photos.ReplyCancel

  • jescandlon - What is with the leg?! Did she watch Princess Diaries?ReplyCancel

  • Drew - I have no idea where she came up with that. She tried on one of her new dresses, and I told her I was going to take her outside to get some pictures. She looked at me and said, "I'm gonna do like this!"…and then threw her leg up! Once we were outside, she basically twirled in a circle trying to keep her leg up the whole time. :)ReplyCancel

  • Pineapple Princess - What a lil beauty she is! Oh, the carefree joy of being three! :)ReplyCancel

  • Jessie - What a beautiful set. Happy Birthday sweet girl!ReplyCancel

When I told Jordyn I was going to take her picture in one of her new princess dresses, Jordyn immediately demonstrated how she was going to pose. I think she pulled it off well. 😉
